TWEWY Prints

2 Miniprints and 1 regular size, I felt these were the best of the WEWY stuff I made for Otakon. I've been making about 3 prints for each con I attend for about a year, any more and they start to become rushed looking and sucky.

TWEWY Scraps.

These were originally part of my World Ends with You print set, but I ended up getting nitpicky about them and I decided to leave them out. I don't feel their strong enough right now and I'm undecided as to how to improve them.

The one with the ice cream and statue of Hachiko were more complicated ideas I had in my head that needed to be scaled down and compromised for the sake of print deadlines. So I'm not satisfied with them and not including them. Joshua came out kinda weak for a mini, so he gets scrapped too.

More photos n'stuf.

The last 2 photoscrawls that'll be added to my con portfolio this year. I'm making a very concious effort to try not to repeat myself with these and make each one unique.

And Migglie dressed in one of Cuilan's outfits for Robbie. I'm gonna have to remember to alter this design a little bit so's I can include it in her future wardrobe.

Last of the bunch. It was around the time that I finished these that I lost my sheet of notes and scripts, thankfully they turned up after some much needed Summa'time cleaning. So it'll resume after Otakon in batches of 3 once a week-ish, hopefully. The next two just need cleanup and text.

It's around this point that I start using less torso shots and more full body shots and landscapes. This comic was first for pencil practice, but now shifts to pose and action practice. Go, Dee!

My oddly titled Final Fantasy 11 comic really should be put here. I started it shortly after I started playing last November, as it was an epic tale of skepticism and bitterness spanning several continents of Vana'Diel. I still have quite a bit of resentment for MMO's in general, Deetrix represents that well.

Robotic dinosaurs are excellent pets and babysitters.

I didn't intend to buy an Animated:Grimlock for at least another month, but I tumbled my way into a new job so I decided to reward myself a little. I'm planning on having 6-8 of these types of pics to mix into my con portfolio for show. I think I've taken close to 150 photos all over NYC over the past 3 weeks so I have lots of photo-fodder to play with.

I'm on my second play-through of The world ends with you. Partially for the fun of going through such an entertaining game again in new game+ mode, and partially to give myself ideas for a print set for Otakon. It's still pretty popular so I'm speculating about it selling well, we'll see in a few weeks how it goes. I'm going to make these pretty shiny by the time I'm done with them. Phones' and Stalker are also lots of fun to draw.

I need to start practicing airbrush and painterly styles again, but cel shading continues to call me.

I need to remember to travel with my camera more often from now on. Not that this particular photo is traveling of any sort, it's my front porch.

Sweet Rides 01.

I started taking snapshots of my desk area earlier this year to use for Paperchild purposes. But those take time and I wanted a quicker method of putting characters into photographs. So I starting drawing crude doodles of Migglie onto them, interacting with stuff from my room.

Thankfully now their much better, and I'm getting more used to appropriate posing and just enough shadow to make the drawings work with the photos more convincingly. There will be a lot more as I buy new Transformers: Animated figures, among other things. I find it more interesting than just static photos of whatever new shiny thing I've just purchased.

I wish I could say this was the first time I've drawn Migglie in her underwear, but it's not. I got a request from John, and some of the other guys, sorta. At this point I'm just pandering to Migglie fans. But I've got moe' loli drawing skills so I might as well use them, it's useful! For...something.....POSSIBLY...

I've resisted doing lots of adorable Sari fanart until recently, I deserve a cookie. Sari is immensely cute and likeable, unlike most of the preceding human allies in Transformers fandom. I'm thankful that TFA Daniel didn't reprise his role as Autobot human mascot, and instead exists as a cleverly annoying G1 homage.

Come hither, you like totally won't be slowly devoured.

It's shocking that a drew a monster that isn't of the Pocket variety. I love all types of monsters, mostly from Norse and Greek mythos, and the types that commonly show up in JRPG'S. So naturally I'm a fan of Nagas, I'm reluctant to draw them since there's such a huge wank fanbase of Naga art that somewhat ruins the fun of drawing them.
